Transfer station backhoe purchase likely to wait until January

A replacement backhoe for the county transfer station will be taken up in January, Chairman Gregg Motley said Monday.

Bourbon County Transfer Station Supervisor Diane Ballou told the Bourbon County Commission on Monday that the station’s equipment is worn out and asked when it will get a replacement backhoe. Chairman Gregg Motley said he wants to wait until January to address the purchase, citing the county’s tight budget.
