Fort Scott city commissioners on Tuesday discussed the city's downtown two-hour parking rule after complaints followed the start of enforcement, and one commissioner asked staff to research paid parking for the busiest spots.

No action was taken.

City Manager Brad Matkin said the city's codes team recently began enforcing the existing two-hour parking ordinance, which covers Main Street. He said the city had received several complaints about downtown parking and even more since enforcement began.
