Agenda

The council approved the agenda 5-0.

Revenue Neutral Rate Hearing

The council passed Resolution 2026-0914-1 to levy a property tax rate exceeding the revenue neutral rate, 5-0.

2027 Budget Hearing

The council approved the 2027 budget 5-0.

Consent Agenda

The council approved the consent agenda 5-0, including the Aug. 10 minutes, current accounts payable, the August transaction and treasurer’s reports, and a corrected $722.39 Phillips 66 invoice.

CDBG Park Project

The council approved listing Joshua Marlow, Danielle Minor, Christy O’Brien and Kelly Perry on the CDBG RFP authorization form for the park project, 5-0.

Cash Basis Waiver

The council passed Resolution 2026-0914-2, waiving the requirements of K.S.A. 75-1120a(a) for financial statements for the year ending Dec. 31, 2027, 5-0.

Sewer Project

The council authorized Mayor Marlow to sign the acceptance letter to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment for 60% SRF loan forgiveness, 5-0.

Sewer Rates

The council passed Resolution 2026-0914-3, establishing new sewer rates and repealing the previous rate resolution, 5-0. The residential minimum rises to $20 and the commercial minimum is set at $35.

Other Business

The council directed staff to send a letter to the manager of Sunnyside Estates regarding reported roach complaints.
