Approved the agenda as amended to add a budget discussion, court relocation and an additional accounts payable batch, 4-0. Approved the minutes of the previous meeting, 4-0.

Accounts Payable

Approved two accounts payable batches of $581,360.08 and $110,758.06, totaling $692,118.14, 4-0.

Executive Session

Recessed into a five-minute executive session under K.S.A. 75-4319(b)(1) to discuss non-elected personnel (appraiser), 4-0. Returned to open session with action, 4-0.

Authorized Commissioner Milburn-Kee to continue onboarding the county appraiser, 4-0.

2027 Budget

No action taken. Revised budget scenarios will be presented, with adoption targeted for the Sept. 28 meeting.

Old Business

A. Asbestos Inspection. Authorized Commissioner Beerbower to sign an agreement with Apex Environmental, 4-0. Limited attendance at the Sept. 29 inspection to county employees, the elected official and contractors, 3-1, Commissioner Beerbower opposed.

New Business

A. County Appraiser. Adopted Resolution 30-26 appointing Danielle Louk as County Appraiser, 4-0.

B. Courthouse Space Reallocation. Adopted Resolution 31-26 reassigning lower-level courthouse space for evidence, election and 911 use, replacing the prior resolution, 4-0.

C. Tabled Items. Purchasing policy; employee benefit restructuring; KORA policy resolution; KC Crown housing tax credit resolution; employee IT training.
